Erica Sullivan
Co-Chief Executive Officer

Erica is proud to serve as CWIB's co-CEO alongside Ashton Hughes for the 2019-2020 academic year. She is a senior majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Dress, Culture and Society. Previously, she has served in two leadership positions within CWIB; Design Chair and Chief Marketing Officer, in addition to being a general member her freshman year. After a successful spring internship with JOBA Design, Erica was promoted to a Junior Marketing Assistant at the firm for summer 2019. In this role, she acted as an account manager and project manager to ensure everything from daily social media posts to website design projects were carried out efficiently for her clients. Erica is truly excited to give back to CWIB and help empower, prepare and connect member's to reach their full potential.

Ashton Hughes

Co-Chief Executive Officer

Ashton is a senior majoring in Finance and will serve as Co-CEO for the 2019-2020 school year. She hopes to become a financial planner after leaving Virginia Tech. She has spent the last few summers interning at various advisory firms in Richmond, VA. Formerly, Ashton has held the position of VP of Finance. Ashton is excited to support the growth of CWIB by empowering both the leadership team and our general membership. Her vision for CWIB is to see it thrive and make a lasting impact on the futures of young women at this university. She is looking forward to all of our fantastic events this year and and she can’t wait to get started!

Jillian Hoglan
Chief Development Officer

Jillian is excited to be this year's, Chief Development Officer! She is junior double majoring in Business Information Technology, and Management Consulting and Analytics. She loves learning from new experiences and working with others to create solutions. This is her third year in CWIB and she can't wait to meet new members and create memories and foster relationships as she serves on the leadership team this year. Feel free to reach out to her with any ideas, questions or if you want to make a new friend.

Kaelyn Petrides
Chief Operating Officer

 

Kaelyn is a Public Relations major and Marketing minor with a passion for event planning! This is her fourth year in Collegiate Women in Business and third year serving on leadership. Her past roles as an Events Committee member and Vice President of Events has equipped her for her duties as COO. In this position, Kaelyn plans and organizes all events CWIB and oversees the Events Committee. Aside from CWIB, Kaelyn is a Hokie Undergraduate Group Leader, and member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She spent the summer interning at Joba, a multidisciplinary marketing and design firm, and has also interned at Gunster Strategies Worldwide, a public relations firm in Washington, D.C.

Abby Mercatoris-Morrison
Chief Marketing Officer

 

Abby is a senior Marketing major with a double minor in Art History and Visual Arts & Society. She is also an accelerated graduate student pursuing a masters in Material Culture and Public Humanities at Virginia Tech. She hopes to utilize her creative and artistic abilities to promote the CWIB brand in the best design possible. Her previous roles as a member of the magazine committee, historian, and VP of Marketing within CWIB have given her the opportunity to grow and develop as a young professional into the role of CMO.

Emily Vang

Chief Financial Officer

Emily is a senior double majoring in Business Information Technology and Marketing. She is so excited to serve as CWIB's Chief Financial Officer for this academic year! Emily will be responsible for developing a budget, growing our sponsorship and managing due collection. This past summer she was a Product Management intern for a software company called GoCanvas. She is looking forward to meeting more members and helping CWIB continue to grow.
