VP of Treks
Emma is a sophomore majoring in Finance and minoring in International Business and History from Richmond, Virginia. She has been involved in CWIB since her first semester of freshman year and is so excited to be serving as VP Treks for the upcoming academic year. She is looking forward to planning valuable trips to different cities to help expose members of CWIB to different companies and career paths. In addition to CWIB, Emma is a proud Hokie Ambassador, serving as a tour guide for potential students looking to apply to Virginia Tech. Emma is so excited for the upcoming year and cannot wait to contribute to CWIB's growth.
VP of Mentorship
Elizabeth is a senior this year serving as VP of Mentorship. She is majoring in Marketing Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship New Venture Growth. She is thrilled to spend her last year in this position in CWIB. Elizabeth spent this past summer as a sales intern in Beltsville, Maryland for Ferguson Enterprises LLC. Aside from CWIB, Elizabeth serves as a core leader in CCVT and is a member of the 2019-2020 Pamplin Leadership Academy. Elizabeth is excited about providing members with empowering experiences between mentors and mentees.
VP of Operations
Allie is a junior double majoring in Management, with a concentration in Consulting and Analysis, and Marketing. She is excited to serve as your VP of Operations this year! This past semester, Allie was a marketing intern for a startup company by StubHub, and she hopes to land another internship for the summer of 2020. She will be studying abroad in Lugano, Switzerland during her spring semester this year as part of Pamplin's Marketing program as well. She is also in the Virginia Tech honors college. Allie is looking forward to seeing new and old members at CWIB events and around campus this year!
Lina Al Taii
VP of Administration
Lina is an incoming sophomore majoring in Business Information Technology and Human Resources Management. She is so excited to serve as CWIB’s VP of Administration this year. Her goals for the year are to run successful events and build the CWIB community by empowering women. Previously, she was a staff writer for the CWIB Chronicles! She is looking forward to meeting more people.
VP of Showcase
Abby is a junior studying Business Management and she is truly looking forward to serving as this year's VP of Showcase! Her main goals she wants to fulfill while in this position include acquiring unique, powerful speakers for the Showcase and providing a beneficial atmosphere for networking that could jumpstart careers for our members. She is ready to put in the work required and more to create an effective, memorable evening that will impact our members for years to come.
VP of Marketing
Melanie is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business. She has served on CWIB's leadership in the past as VP of Sponsorship. Previously, she served in internships with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Virginia Tech Athletics in the Marketing department. Maria is also a Peer Mentor for Virginia Tech University Studies students. Her favorite thing about CWIB is being around so many empowered and inspiring women.
VP of Technology
Snigdha is excited to serve as the VP of Technology for the 2019-2020 school year! She is currently a junior majoring in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics (CMDA). This past summer, Snigdha was a Consulting Analyst at Edlinguist in Washington D.C., and is currently participating in a business transformation mentorship program conducted by IBM. This year, she will be working with FORKaiA, to take part in their Startup Combine program and work on various projects in their Idea Lab. Outside of CWIB, Snigdha serves as a CMDA Ambassador, working to recruit prospective students and build leadership skills. After serving as VP of Marketing last year, she is eager to oversee various technical aspects of the organization and further its development.
Editor-in-Chief, "CWIB Chronicles"
Emma is a junior majoring in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise with a concentration in Dietetics, as well as minoring in Professional and Technical Writing. She is honored to serve as Editor-In-Chief of the CWIB Chronicles after working as one of the staff writers last year. Emma is excited to oversee a team of writers who provide insightful content for our members that strive to empower, prepare, and connect them in their professional endeavors. Outside of CWIB, Emma is a manager for the Virginia Tech Women's Basketball team. You can also find her working at McComas! Emma is eager to help grow CWIB and inspire women from all over Virginia Tech to join such an impactful organization.
VP of Finance
Maria is a rising junior double majoring in BIT and Accounting, with a minor in Psychology. She is excited to be this year's VP of Finance and assist our CFO with due collections and creating the budget. This summer, Maria participated in KPMG's Global Advantage Program in Budapest, Hungary. There she learned many new leadership skills that she plans to use to continue to improve CWIB. This year, she hopes to empower other members, while also continuing her own growth as a person through CWIB.
VP of Sponsorship
Nafisa is currently a junior majoring in Business Information Technology with a double minor in International Business and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She is honored to serve as the VP of Sponsorships after being a member within CWIB for two years. Aside from CWIB, she is also a member of the materials committee within the Pamplin Leadership Development Team. Nafisa hopes to build strong connections with our sponsors and continue to further CWIB’s development.
Emma is a junior majoring in Finance and minoring in International Business. She will be serving as VP of Philanthropy this year, and is so excited to be more involved after two years of membership! In this position, she really hopes to make CWIB's philanthropy more prominent and interactive. Emma is from Maryland, and this past summer she interned at Allegis Group in their Corporate Financial Reporting office. Aside from CWIB, Emma contributes as a PUMP mentor and a member of Finance Club. She can't wait to meet new members this year and help further CWIB's development.
